EMG-35CS Part of our Extended Series, the EMG-35CS, with its contemporary appearance is actually a product of 30+ years of design experience. Reproducing an extended range cleanly - both higher AND lower - taxes the abilities of conventional pickups. In the EMG-35CS, we have succeeded in getting this extended range by utilizing an ultra low noise, low-impedance internal preamp, paired with parallel placed coils like the DC, but loaded with ceramic steel. The result is that the EMG-35CS is much warmer as a result of the higher inductance of the steel, and thus has a smoother attack and a flatter high end. This model is the most "Traditional" sounding of the group and uses an extended housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm), wonderful for 4 string spacing’s.
